Inspired by the verse “The enemy comes only to steal, kill and destroy; I came that they may have life and have it more abundantly” (John 10:10), Philip has made it his mission to help people become better financial stewards and to live life more abundantly. After building a solid foundation financially for his own family, Philip wants to do the same for others as their trusted financial advisor.

Working with Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Philip has chosen to serve people by providing comprehensive financial planning and goals-based wealth management, particularly for physicians, business owners & executives, entrepreneurs, investment professionals, professional athletes and high-net-worth families. He desires to help his clients protect, nurture and grow their financial seeds so they can achieve their life goals with peace of mind, while being generous and supportive of their families and communities.

Before starting his practice as a financial advisor, Philip served as the Dean of Operations for a charter school that educated over 200 students in grades 5-8. Philip also worked at a search fund where he searched for a privately held business to acquire and to run as CEO.

Philip spent 3 years at FedEx, where he provided communications support to senior Marketing executives and led the company’s 15 EarthSmart environmental sustainability projects in 14 cities nationwide. He first worked as an Equity Research Analyst for Goldman Sachs, where his Small / Mid Cap team covered over 100 stocks in 10 industries for institutional investors.

Philip is currently pursuing his CFP® designation through Boston University’s Center for Professional Education. He is a CFA Level 1 candidate. He earned his MBA from Harvard Business School. He obtained his college degree in Political Science and Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a Morehead-Cain scholar.

Philip lives in Brookline, MA with his wife, Mayra, and their twin daughters, Sofia and Elizabeth. In his free time, Philip enjoys spending time with his family, cheering for his Tar Heels, and developing into a better advisor. He is learning how to speak fluently in French, Spanish and Portuguese. He is a supporter of Junior Achievement, YearUp, Boston Children’s Hospital, Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT) and the Morehead-Cain Foundation. Philip is a member of City on a Hill Church and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
